Introduction to MKVinyl2cd.

Why offer this service…?

My reasons for me starting MKVinyl 2 CD could partly be the reason you would be interested in this service yourself.

I had from the past a fair range of vinyl LPs and singles, some Ep’s and the odd 12 inch single, good stuff at the time but with the ease of playing CDs vinyl has become very tiresome to use, not so many people even have turntables and the modern generations very rarely use vinyl compared to CDs.  There is also the fact that many LPs in vinyl were not re-released in CD format so you need a turntable to play them.

For me being visually impaired meant that playing my beloved vinyl records was even more of a chore, so rather than cause more wear and tear, I’d convert them digitally onto CDs that way I get to preserve my vinyl collection, have the benefit of being able to play the transferred music CDs easily on my hi fi, personal stereo or PC, I don’t have a car so that facility didn’t matter to me.

Since that time I’ve converted records for friends and family.  I really enjoy working with sound more than ever since my eyesight has somewhat diminished; it is a diversity from my work as a trained ‘Remedial Therapist’, you can read more on that by clicking on the link ‘My Work as a Therapist’, only if you are interested of course. .
